Brake Care

When it comes to brakes, take care.

If you're like most people, you take it for granted that your vehicle will stop every time you press on the brake pedal. But what if it didn't? Things can and do go wrong with braking systems, so it is very important to take good care of them.

If you think your brakes aren't working as well as they should be, you need to get your vehicle to a qualified technician to check them out. With today's sophisticated systems, you need to be sure the people working on your car are certified to do the work. At Belle Tire, our ASE Certified Technicians can check your brake system thoroughly and perform any repairs necessary to get you back on the road safely. Be sure to have your brakes checked every 8,000 to 10,000 miles.

Here are some common problems associated with worn or malfunctioning brake systems:

  • Vehicle vibrates or pulls to the left or right under braking
  • Strange noises under braking... squealing, clicking, metallic grinding
  • Brakes feel like they are grabbing when applied
  • Hard pedal feel or low, spongy pedal feel
