This FREE Fun-Filled Event will provide Understanding, Basic Instruction & Performing General Maintenance on Your Vehicle.
The clinic consists of five fifteen minute seminars plus a ride and drive experience presented by Monroe:
Station 1: General Education- Safety
Learn basic safety tips and the importance of having an emergency road side kit in your vehicle and what products should be in the kit. We’ll also demonstrate how to set up booster cables properly and discuss tips and benefits of taking care of your car and how it can save you money in the long run.
Station 2: Warning Indicator Lights
Dashboard lights cause you grief. Will show you what they mean and when it is vital to you and your vehicle to take immediate action.
Station 3: Under the hood- fluids, filters, belts
Learn the basics on vital fluids of your vehicle. How to check oil how a dirty air filter can impact your fuel economy, what a shop looks for when looking at a serpentine belt and what happens if it breaks and other money saving tips.
Station 4: Tires
Learn the difference between winter tires and all season tires, how to check tire pressures and where to find the correct tire pressure information. Also learn a tire wears when a tire is under inflated or over inflated and other safety tips on the importance of proper inflation and tire wear to save you money at the pump.
Station 5: Brakes and Suspension
See how a brake system works and what happens when the brakes pads wear out and the difference between disc vs drum brakes. You’ll also learn what the basic ride controls of a vehicle and what happens when they are worn out.
Station 6: Ride and Drive
Take a ride in a BMW, Nissan Xterra or Dodge Caravan and see for yourself the difference a poor suspension can have on your vehicle. The MONROE RIDE AND DRIVE fleet features 2 BMWs, 2 Nissan Xterras and 2 Dodge Caravans. Take a five minute tour around a track while the Tour’s ASE-Certified instructor will help participants learn how to better communicate the need for ride control and brake replacement through this interactive driving experience.
Seminars will be 15 Minutes long and each seminar will be conducted twice an hour. Don’t worry what station you start at, it’s the information you’ll receive for each station that counts.

Gail Truess – Lead Instructor
Gail is the only woman to ever win a professional SCCA Pro Rally Championship! She
has many years in the automotive industry as both a facilitator and instructor for
many vehicle manufacturers. In the late 1990’s she was hired to help bring BMW’s
Driver Training program to North America. Gail also helped in the NASCAR/Ford Prelude
to the Dream. Gail was a member of the Champcar Pace Car Team for 16 years and now
works with the IRL driving the “command” vehicle.
Allison Altzman
Allison became SCCA licensed and went on to compete, and win, in Regional and National
races in a factory built ITS Toyota Celica. She has worked as a Precision Driver/Stunt
Driver for Television as well as Training Videos for a multitude of automotive manufacturers.
Allison has instructed at various racing schools across the country and facilitated
as a Product Specialist for auto manufacturer Ride and Drives nationwide. She co-hosted
Speedvision’s Speedshop. She enjoyed a 10-year stint as a member of the Official
CART/Champ Car Pace Car Team.
Stacy Kuhn
Stacy loves to teach and this is evident in her racing involvement as well as her
career as an elementary school teacher. Stacy grew up racing sports cars in the
Western United States. She then went on to become a member of the Champcar Pace
Car Team for 10 years. In addition to this she is an instructor on the Toyota Teen
Driving program and teaches school as well.

Stephanie Reaves
Stephanie knows how to go fast on both two wheels and four wheels in the world of
drag racing. Although she still has her hand in racing she also works in the automotive
industry as a facilitator and trainer. She currently is working for the Richard
Petty Driving experience and she is an instructor on the Toyota Teen Driving program.
In addition to this, she works many products launches as a facilitator for a variety
of manufacturers.
Frankie Marrow
Her love for cars and the driving experience led her to jump at the first opportunity
to enter the automotive field with Cadillac Motor Company. For the past 6 years,
however, her work has branched out to many other manufacturers, not only including
product training, but process training as well. Her adventures in product training
have given her the opportunity to launch vehicles for most of the main automotive
manufacturers on the planet: During the past 4 years, she has also been involved
in teaching core classes for University of Toyota and training on a consistent basis
for various Toyota Regional and Lexus Area offices, and continues to do so currently.
